Description
Begin with this qualification to pave your way into the aged care sector. Designed specifically to meet the needs of the aged care industry, this course will equip you with the concepts and skills to provide personalised assistance to individuals who require support as they age, apply safe work practices for their health and safety, and support their independence and well-being. This course will build on your current knowledge of direct service work and client support, enabling you to make a positive uplift in their lives.
Successful completion of the course will qualify you to work in varied fields beyond an aged care facility such as clinics, home care facilities, and residential establishments.
Work placement/ industry experience
To achieve this qualification, the candidate must have completed at least 120 hours of work as detailed in the Assessment Requirements of the units of competency.
Entry Requirement
There are no entry requirements for this course, however students are required to undertake the Language, Literacy and Numeracy assessment and Pre -Training Review. This will assist to determine candidate’s suitability and relevance for the course and identification of any support required.
National Police Check required before undertaking work placement.
Qualifications and Recognition
Upon successful completion of this course students will be eligible to receive the CHC43015 Certificate IV in Ageing Support.
